The first series I read by this author was His First Wife His Third Wife and His Last Wife I enjoyed those books so I had high expectations fort his one I was not disappointed I think an author has mastered their craft when their book can makes you gasp groan clap cry curse and laugh This book made me do all of the above SpoilerIan was a b I mean he was so wishy washy and the whole time I could see he was jealous and wanted to have his cake and eat it toojust like Rachel's friend said Xavier I wanted him to be good I needed him to be good and I felt just as duped as Rachel However at the end everything happened exactly as I wanted it

The first chapter was cutegoodwarm but the rest of the book just didn't pull me in It was okay but in a forgettable sort of way It wasn't a bad read but it wasn't a good read Different books reach different people

This book was my first read by this author I truly enjoyed it The author was great at describing the relationship between characters and the history behind them However I read some reviews before starting the book and feel like I was one of few who didn't want Rachel to end up with Ian I was team Xavier from the moment she opened the hotel room door and he was there So much great detail went into the old pickup truck I almost wanted Chauncey to make a debut Great read with a happily ever after ending

I like the Grace Octavia books I've read This book included It didn't end the way I wanted It did capture the emotions and messiness of having feelings for your best friend of the other gender Rachel Winslow the main character is a popular famous wedding planner She is very close to her male best friend Ian Dupree She detests his girlfriend Scarlet Everyone seems to think Rachel and Ian will end up together They almost do I think one of the best things about this book was Grace Octavia's vivid descriptionsYou can visualize everything I would have loved for the book to have ended differently But it didn't I don't think Grace Octavia does seuels so I will have to be happy with the ending as is

This story was captivating and a roller coaster to say the least Octavia gives us the tale of Rachael and Ian's friendship turned serious turned failed turned loved turned fail This novel shows genius metaphors of true love and completeness She writes with such passion of love that by the end of the tale you'll wish it were you Well written flowing read that will gear you up for part 2 I fully enjoyed the wit dialogue and depth of this book Excellent Majesti BurroughsAAMBC Reviewer

I thought this was OK I usually read mysteries or suspense but this topic did hold my interest and I finished it in a couple of days I think it was a little confusing and unclear just who the main male character was as a character was he the noble best friend or a confused jerk? and the supernatural element was a little weird and unnecessary in my opinion But it was a good effort and I may look for another by the author to see what else she has written about

I absolutely love this book Emotional roller coaster ride is an understatement Constantly found myself feeling down when she was upset enraged when she was angry and everything in between I'm still searching for a book that gets me as involved as this one did Definitely something worth reading
